Tomato Sauce

Traditional Italian tomato sauce

4 Portions

Cooking Time: 1 - 2 hrs

1 28oz can of San Marzano Whole Peeled tomatoes

1-2 tablespoons of olive oil

1-2 cloves of garlic, minced

½ a tablespoon of salt

Oregano, fresh or dried

Basil, fresh or dried

 

 

 

 

  1. Add the oil and garlic to a pot and cook on high heat until oil starts to boil. Do not let the garlic burn.
  2. Crush the tomatoes and pour the contents into the pot.
  3. Add the salt, oregano and basil to the pot, and stir the contents together.
  4. Cook on high until the sauce starts to boil. Then, cook on medium-low heat for 1 - 2 hours and stir occasionally.
